Law Enforcement Agencies in Hillsborough County, Florida Locate Missing Person Approximately Five Miles From Point Last Seen with SafetyNet® Tracking System

Law enforcement agencies in Hillsborough County, FL, located a missing person with a cognitive condition using the SafetyNet® Tracking system. In this case, a 20-year-old man with autism was reported missing on November 24th, 2014 at 1:00 PM. Authorities from law enforcement agencies in Hillsborough County arrived on location and began searching for the individual.  The Aviation Unit was deployed and picked up the client’s signal shortly after arriving in the general area and alerted ground units as to the location of the signal’s origin. Within minutes of this notification, the individual was located at 4:19 PM approximately five miles from the last location seen. He was located on the 1-75 overpass that crosses over the Alafia River.
