Press Release 05/13/2013

Missing Person Located 19 Blocks Away from Assisted Living Facility by Hialeah Police Department Using SafetyNet Tracking System

For the fourth time, a person has been located by the Hialeah Police Department using SafetyNet Tracking tracking equipment.  The latest instance occurred when a 62-year-old female resident of a Hialeah Assisted Living Center went missing early in the afternoon. Less than one hour after the subject went missing from their residence, officers with the Hialeah Police Department followed the signal emitting from the subject’s SafetyNet bracelet and located the missing person at a city park at the corner of Palm Avenue and 3rd Street. The person, who was located in good condition, had wandered 19 blocks away from their residence.

The SafetyNet Tracking service enables public safety agencies to more quickly find and rescue individuals with cognitive conditions who are prone to wandering and becoming lost.  The service is comprised of a SafetyNet Bracelet worn by a client that emits Radio Frequency signals, which can be tracked by local public safety officials via their SafetyNet Search and Rescue Receivers.

In the greater Miami area, SafetyNet Tracking is available to residents in Miami, Miami-Dade, Hialeah and Coral Gables.  For more information on the SafetyNet Tracking service, please contact (877) 4-FINDTHEM (877-434-6384) or visit safetynettracking.com.
