Missing 79-Year-Old Marshfield, MA Man with Alzheimer's Disease Found Unhurt in the Woods

Shortly after 6:30 pm on Monday, June 25th, the Marshfield Fire and Police Departments were called by concerned family members reporting their father missing. The 79-year-old man was already missing from his home for 15 minutes before the 9-1-1 call was made. Fire Department paramedics Gary Richard and John Taylor, along with Police Officers Michael Gonsalves and Tim Kelly, responded to the place where the gentleman was last seen. They knew that the missing man was wearing a SafetyNet™ Tracking® bracelet and prepared to search for him using specialized tracking equipment.
Within minutes of beginning their search they were able to locate the missing man using the SafetyNet equipment. He was found a short distance from his home, having wandered through the woods.
This was Marshfield's second rescue in little over a month!
